Peter Frampton Tickets

Kansas City, MO - The Midland Theatre

Frampton Comes Alive in 2024!

Classic rock legend Peter Frampton has decided to retire from touring, but before he does, he's going out on one epic farewell trek — a tour he's bringing to the Midland Theatre on April 5th, 2024!  In an interview with CBS, the singer-guitarist explained that he's been diagnosed with a "rare and incurable condition called inclusion body myositis," and while the condition isn't fatal, it will eventually prevent him from performing up to his lofty expectations.  He's still got plenty of gas left in the tank, though, and he's pulling out all the stops for the Peter Frampton Kansas City concert — which is why tickets will sell out fast!

Born in 1950 and educated at Bromley Technical School — where his father was a teacher and David Bowie was his classmate — Peter Frampton was playing in his first band at the tender age of 12.  At 14 he was playing in a band that was produced and managed by Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, and a few years later was the lead guitarist and singer in the popular band The Herd.  By 18, he'd been invited by Steve Marriot of the Small Faces to play guitar in his new band Humble Pie, and he still found time to work as a session musician with icons like Jerry Lee Lewis, Harry Nilsson, and more.  Frampton went solo in the early '70s, but found little traction with his first several albums.  Then, in January 1976 — while he was still just 26 years old — his LP Frampton Comes Alive! hit the charts, a live album recorded at a handful of US concerts the previous year.  It became a massive hit thanks to singles like "Show Me the Way," "Do You Feel Like We Do," and "Baby, I Love Your Way" — and was briefly the best-selling record of all time.  Frampton continues to be one of classic rock's greatest live entertainers, some 40+ years later, and this is your chance to see him live one last time!
