Ridgefield, WA - Sunlight Supply Amphitheater

Tellin' It Like It Is in 2019!

Though sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson didn't found the band that would become Heart, they were its most important creative force as soon as they joined its ranks in the early 1970s.  Founded in Seattle, WA in 1967 as The Army, the group moved to Canada shortly after the sisters joined its ranks, rebranding themselves Hocus Pocus.  By early 1973, with the classic lineup beginning to coalesce around singer Ann, they had finally become Heart, and when Nancy joined the following year on guitar, they were poised for success — success which came upon the release of their debut album, Dreamboat Annie.  Powered to a Top 10 position and eventual Platinum status by the lead singles "Magic Man" and "Crazy on You," it declared that women could rock just as hard as men — a declaration they proved again and again over the next five decades.
