Formed in London in 1977, The Psychedelic Furs built their reputation on a saxophone-forward sound and the distinctive rasp of vocalist Richard Butler. Albums like Talk Talk Talk, Forever Now, and Mirror Moves made them post-punk critical darlings, while Pretty in Pink became a generation-defining anthem after John Hughes used it as the title song for his 1986 film. After a decade-long hiatus in the nineties, the band returned in the early 2000s and have been touring consistently ever since. Their 2020 release Made of Rain was their first new studio album in 29 years and earned strong reviews from longtime fans and new listeners alike.
