For an easy-going rocker from the Sydney suburbs, Rick Springfield has had a truly epic career.  He first shot to fame in his native Australia as the guitarist for Zoot, a nationally popular hard rock outfit that had a hit with a reworked "Eleanor Rigby," before striking out on his own in the 1970s.  By 1981, he was wrapping up work on his fifth studio album, Working Class Dog, and taking a job on the soap opera General Hospital at his agent's suggestion, as neither thought the album would make much of a dent in the charts.  But the album's breakout single, "Jessie's Girl," shot to the #1 spot on the Billboard Top 100, and for two years he had to balance a full-time gig on a major soap opera with a ton of unexpected touring commitments.  He somehow came through the experience unscathed, and followed up Dog's success with the cheekily titled Success Hasn't Spoiled Me Yet.
