The Metropolitan Opera 2026-27 Season Arrives This Fall!

The Metropolitan Opera opens its 2026-27 season on September 22 with a brand-new production of Macbeth by Verdi, starring Quinn Kelsey in the title role opposite Lise Davidsen as Lady Macbeth. It is the first of four new productions in a season that also features the world premiere of Lincoln in the Bardo by Missy Mazzoli, based on the Booker Prize-winning novel by George Saunders, and the Met premiere of Silent Night, the Pulitzer Prize-winning opera by Kevin Puts inspired by the 1914 Christmas truce.
