About The Guess Who
Formed in Winnipeg, Manitoba, in 1965, The Guess Who became one of the first Canadian rock bands to achieve major international success. Built around the creative partnership of vocalist and keyboardist Burton Cummings and guitarist Randy Bachman, the band produced a remarkable string of hits that blended rock, pop, and blues into a sound both distinctly Canadian and universally appealing. Their 1970 single “American Woman” reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 and became an anthem of the era, while other classics like “These Eyes,” “No Time,” “Laughing,” “Undun,” “Share the Land,” and “Clap for the Wolfman” kept the band at the top of the charts throughout the late 1960s and early 1970s.
Inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 1987, The Guess Who have sold tens of millions of records worldwide. Randy Bachman departed in 1970 to form Bachman-Turner Overdrive, while Cummings continued to lead the band before launching a successful solo career. The Takin’ It Back Tour marks a historic full-scale reunion of these two founding creative forces, joined by former Eagles guitarist Don Felder as special guest. For fans who grew up with these songs and for younger listeners discovering them for the first time, this tour represents a once-in-a-generation opportunity to experience rock history being made live on stage.
