Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber created one of the most iconic musicals of all time with Evita, and interest in the show has never been higher thanks to the critically acclaimed 2025 London Palladium revival starring Rachel Zegler in the title role. That production, directed by Jamie Lloyd, drew massive crowds and rave reviews during its West End run, and a full cast recording is set for release in 2026. While a Broadway transfer has been discussed, no official dates have been confirmed yet.

Evita tells the story of Eva Peron, the wife of Argentine president Juan Peron, tracing her rise from poverty to power through a score that includes some of the most recognizable songs in musical theater. The original 1979 Broadway production starred Patti LuPone and won seven Tony Awards including Best Musical. The show has been revived multiple times since, including a 2012 Broadway run and the blockbuster 2025 London revival at the Palladium. Songs like Do Not Cry for Me Argentina, Buenos Aires, and Another Suitcase in Another Hall remain beloved standards of the genre.
